On Thursday 14th November 2024, PPS Chartered Accountants will host their first PPS Business Charity Breakfast! Since 2017 we have held a PPS Business Charity Lunch, but this time we are trialing a breakfast instead.

The charity event, which is open to all business professionals in the Swindon and Wiltshire area, will provide a fantastic opportunity for attendees to network, listen to inspirational talks, and enjoy a delicious full English breakfast. (Please note the full English breakfast is served plated up, so if you have any dietary requirements please either add it to your name on the ticket, or email sally@ppsacc.co.uk)

Our speaker for the event is Richard Deacon. Deacon & Son (Swindon) Ltd, was founded as a jewellers, watch & clock makers by George Deacon in 1848 and remains a family run business. Richard Deacon and his sister Sara represent the 6th generation of the Deacon family. The shop and workshop are in the original premises of the founder, George Deacon, and sit prominently on Wood Street, selling a variety of luxury brand watches, clocks and jewellery.

To this day, Deacon & Son prides itself on offering a unique customer service experience, with highly-skilled craftspeople working with customers to create special bespoke items.

All profits from the event will go to the RunVEMBER challenge and Hrh Alan Butler will be at the event to tell us more. This year will see RunVEMBER work alongside The Swindon Food Collective and Threshold and provide food and provisions for 6,200 people in Swindon, 30% of these being children, and those who are now not fed by the hostels due to changes in how they operate. 

Swindon Food Collective’s Mission is to reduce the impact of food poverty on people in crisis in the Swindon and district area.

Tickets cost £18 plus VAT and a small booking fee.

There will also be a fun raffle at the event, supported by PPS and other businesses.  Raffle tickets will be sold on the day for £5 each with some amazing prizes, and all proceeds will go directly to the RunVEMBER event.
