The 2024 Plymouth Breakwater Swim

The 2024 Chestnut Appeal Breakwater swim is scheduled to take place on Sunday 14th July with a swim time of around 9am.

Swimmers will register at Mount Batten and board the boat 'The Plymouth Sound' at Mount Batten Jetty.  The trip to the eastern end of the Breakwater close to Bovisand Pier will take around 20 minutes.  The Safety Briefing will be given on board the Boat by senior EWS staff.

Swimmers will alight the boat at the eastern end of the Breakwater near to Bovisand Pier.  The swim route will be along the coastline at Jennycliff Bay a distance of around 3.2km.

Swimmers will be flanked by paddleboarders who will guide swimmers across the Bay.  The route takes swimmers to the right of the Flyrix Buoy before making a straight line to the beach at Mount Batten.

Registration for the 2024 Breakwater swim is £55.
Your £55 registration includes: Water Safety Cover. Event swim cap. Full lifeguard and medical support. An event medal

Just as a point of interest, and to help you set your own fundraising target:
