The Jonesboro High School choir comes from Jonesboro, Arkansas, the home state of former President Bill Clinton. Jonesboro has a population of 81,874. (Arkansas has 3 million inhabitants and covers a  size of 53,179 sq mi (137,732 km2). Ireland in comparison is 32,595 sq mi and has a population of about 5 Mio people. Arkansas is about 65% larger in size than Ireland, where Ireland has about 55% more people.  The Mississippi River borders the east side of the Arkansas.)

The choir under the leadership of Krisie Holmes is one of the top choirs in Arkansas and has performed extensively in the US. Many of their singers have been awarded multiple 1st and 2nd chair, all-state and all regional choir honors.  The choir has performed “Carmina Burana” by Carl Orff with the Delta Symphony Orchestra and has performed numerous times with the Forum Sinfonia  from Krakow on holiday concerts. The Jonesboro High School choir has also performed in Carnegie Hall in New York City.
