The Chestnut Appeal for Men's Health is holding its eighth annual swim around Burgh Island on Sunday October 7th 2018 with a swim time around 11am.

The Burgh Island swim in South Devon is one of the most spectacular Round Island swims in the UK and is an excellent chance to take part in an iconic swim around the Island made famous as a favourite getaway for Agatha Christie and where she found inspiration for her novel ‘And Then There Were None’.

The Burgh Island swim is suitable for those who can swim a mile in the pool and have experience of Open Water Swimming.

Safety is always our top priority and as with all the Chestnut Appeal swims the Burgh Island swim will be supported by the team from Event Water Safety.  EWS will provide all the necessary craft, lifeguards and expert cover for the swim.

Registration for the swim is £30. Your entry fee covers the cost of organising the event, but it’s the money you raise that helps Prostate Cancer patients and their families across Devon and Cornwall.

So we ask all our Burgh Island swimmers set themselves a Sponsorship target of at least £75.

To date the Burgh Island swim has raised over £110,000 for the Chestnut Appeal.
