Join current artists in residence, Kyra Norman and Anna Boland, for an informal chat about what they’ve been up to in June, and plans for July.  They are keen for this to be a productive opportunity to meet and share ideas with fellow CAMP members, and invite your input into their parallel processes.

Kyra Norman is an artist and researcher working with dance, choreography, movement improvisation and moving image (film/ video), since 1998. She lives in Cornwall, UK and mostly work outdoors, in re-purposed spaces and online. Kyra’s CAMP artist residency will move around Cornwall, based on foot; at The Auction House; and other spaces as demand leads. 

“I’ve given my residency time a name, Cosmic Fabric, because the process is bringing together a currently pretty loose constellation of things, people and ideas, and a working title seems like a helpful container, at this point.  It’s a movement research process, and series of conversations, informal workshops and events, inspired by the unique geology of the Lizard Pensinsula, Cornwall, UK. Anna Boland is an interdisciplinary artist, her practice is process driven and material focused and ideas have been realised and explored through various mediums and media. She is based at KARST for her CAMP artist residency. Previous work has explored ideas of the unseen and making the invisible visible. Current practice explores time and our perception of it; looking at time and the in-between with a specific focus on the duration of 1 minute.
