'Social Making: Developing Dementia Friendly Projects Online Training with Vicky Chapter’ is a remote learning workshop which will take you through some key information and top tips for thinking about developing your own projects for the dementia community in your area. Vicky is the Learning Programme Manager at Aspex, who have been running Generate, a programme for people with dementia and their carers for the past five years. This training will use the Generate project as a model to get you thinking about different aspects of your projects and the next steps towards making things happen where you are.

Introduction to Developing dementia friendly projects; Our Creative Approach to supporting people with dementia; Participants & Partnerships; Support for Carers; Evaluation & Impact & Practicalities and Top Tips. 

Who is this for?

Early career creative or community practitioners who are beginning to develop their own arts or community projects. Mid-career creative or community practitioners who are new to working in the field of arts & health provision.  

SOME EXPERIENCE NECESSARY – to get the most from this workshop, you will need to have either some initial ideas for arts or community projects you wish to develop or have an emerging or established creative or community practice.

Online video chat - this is a chance to raise any questions with Vicky and to share any learning you may wish to. This is limited to 12 participants and will be from 10-12 on Wednesday 27th January. If we have a significant interest beyond this number, we may be able to book another group session.
