Irish Folk Music Workshop

 

Sunday 29th March 1.45pm – 4.45pm
String players can join us for this half-day workshop on Irish Folk Music.  During the afternoon we’ll get your toes tapping as we learn some famous Irish tunes by ear and from music.  We will look at traditional techniques, starting you off on some of the bowing patterns and ornaments that will make all the difference to your Irish sound.

 

Who is this workshop suitable for?
This workshop is suitable for string players of Grades 2 – 8+  who play violin, viola, cello or double bass.

Course Fee: £22 per player (including booking fee)
Sibling Discount: £17 (including booking fee)
Mentor: £11 (including booking fee)

Parent / Accompanying Adult: £5

Donation: If you are able to make an additional £5 donation, you will enable us to provide inspiring musical experiences for young people who would otherwise not be able to access our events.


Course Times: 1.45pm – 4.45pm
Venue: Widcombe Junior School, Bath, BA2 4JG
Informal Performance for family and friends: 4.30pm
