About this Event

The Haven Wolverhampton is pleased to introduce Forced Marriage / Honour Based Abuse Training. The training is a 3 hour session designed to increase professionals' awareness of the prevalence of FM/ HBA and to identify triggers and behaviour.

This training will enable attendees to:

•Define the term, ‘forced marriage’ and ‘honour based abuse’.

•Identify potential motives and triggers for forced marriage and honour based abuse.

•Indicate how forced marriage can impact on the lives of girls/women and boys/men.

•Illustrate how to respond to someone who discloses that they have experienced, or is at risk of, forced marriage.

•Locate support that is available to anyone who is experiencing forced marriage and honour based abuse.

These training courses are intended for professionals, or those who have an interest in the topic of domestic abuse and its effects.
