About this Event

The Haven Wolverhampton is pleased to introduce Domestic Abuse and Disability Training. The training is a 3 hour session designed to increase professionals' understanding of the dynamics of Disability and Abuse.

This training will enable attendees to:

•Promote greater understanding about the dynamics of Disability and Abuse.

•Identify what barriers disabled women face in regards to reporting Domestic Abuse.

•Recognise how you can change your practice to help disabled women who experience Domestic Abuse.

These training courses are intended for professionals, or those who have an interest in the topic of domestic abuse and its effects.

Our trainer has over 25 years of experience in working with women who have experienced abuse and holds a PGCE (Professional  Graduate Certificate in Education) qualification.

If you're interested in bespoke training, we can come to you; tailoring programmes to your specific staff/group needs. Previously we have ran bespoke training for Schools, the CPS and corporate organisations. Email us to find out more about information at: training@havenrefuge.org.uk

Light refreshments available on the day.

****The location of the training will be confirmed two weeks prior to the event. All of our training is conducted in the Wolverhampton City Centre Area. ****
