Summer Menopause Kitchen

Organiser: Wakeman Nutrition
Are you wondering what the hell your hormones are doing to you right now?
If you're feeling stressed out, worn out from lack of sleep, struggling with mood swings, hot flushes and a growing tummy keep reading......
Menopause transition can be a really confusing, scary emotional roller coaster. In part because there is a fear of talking about it openly (although that is starting to change) and it isn't always easy to get the right help and support.
The menopause kitchen is perfect if you want to understand what your body is going through and why you feel the way you do, learn how diet can help you manage your symptoms whilst protecting your long term health AND just talk freely.
I (Mel Wakeman) am running this event in partnership with my fantastic meno-partner in crime Lesley Byrne. Lesley is an active 'menovist' leading a menopause support group in her workplace and is responsible for the amazing menopause Facebook group 'Is it Hot in Here?'
Grab a place in our menopause kitchen for 2 hrs of expert advice, support, food and fun. Spaces are limited to 8 but this means you have a really personable experience and get to have all your questions answered.
Each date will have a different theme but with a similar focus of helping you work towards achieving less hormone havoc and more balance in your life as you move through your forties, fifties and beyond.
27th JULY: SLEEP - how diet and supplements can help improve sleep quality and duration (combating hot flushes, restless legs and anxiety). Receive a personal info pack containing a sleep diary, sleep tips, guide to sleepy snacks, recipes of the day and menopause guide
31st AUGUST: JOINT HEALTH - how diet and supplements can help improve joint pain and reduced mobility associated with menopause. Receive a personal info pack containing a supplement guide, dietary tips, recipes of the day and menopause guide.
As a registered nutritionist with over 22 years in the industry, I'll be sharing my expertise whilst I rustle up some simple, delicious, nutritious and restorative food. You can pick my brains whilst sipping on a cuppa, sampling and eating the fruits of my labour. Think Loose Women Style!
Come away feeling relaxed, empowered and armed with recipes of the day that highlight the nutritional benefits of each ingredient for midlife and beyond. You'll feel inspired to take back charge of your eating in the interests of your long term health and happiness.
I hope to see you there!
p.s. You will also receive a personal folder containing all the recipes and fact sheets
