Organiser: Burton Small Business

Ticket sales are now closed for the fourth annual conference run by Burton Small Business and sponsored this year by the Federation of Small Business.

This year's half-day conference takes place on Tuesday, October 22, 2019, between 8.45am and 2pm.

The event has been designed by small businesses to help other small businesses access the knowledge and support they need to succeed and grow. You will also have the chance to make new connections and network - so bring plenty of business cards.

It's at the 400 Hall at the historic and beautiful Repton School, close to the A38 between Burton and Derby.

Delegates should all have received an email giving details about parking or timings. Please check your spam folder.

Any questions, please email info@burtonsmallbusiness.co.uk

WHAT'S INCLUDED? You'll arrive from 8.45am to enjoy refreshments and meet and chat with other business owners in the foyer of the 400 Hall.

The conference will be opened by the National Chairman of the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) Mike Cherry.

Speakers during the morning will be:

Kevin Caley, founder of ThinCats, looking at investment for your business.

Ian Preston, business coach and networking expert, on mastering sales.

Baasit Siddiqui, education consultant and star of TV’s Googlebox, on lifelong learning.

Dr Philip Clarke, performance psychologist, on the secrets of success for elite athletes and business owners.

Joe Burns, entrepreneur, will share his inspirational business journey.

Sarah J Naylor, author and coach, on aligning your vision with business growth.

Tilley Bancroft, award-winning animator, on alternative marketing strategies.

Karen Woolley, of the FSB, will signpost businesses on where to get advice and support.

There will be a number of stands by business support organisations who will be able to provide practical help, advice and support. These will include Staffordshire and Derbyshire Police, who will provide free advice on fighting business cybercrime. You’ll also be able to find out how local Chambers, the Growth Hub and the Federation of Small Businesses can help you grow.

The event concludes with a networking buffet lunch between 1pm and 2pm where you can chat to speakers and other business owners and entrepreneurs.
