Responding to Climate Emergency
Public Meeting and discussion, Temple of Peace, Cardiff
Declarations of Climate Emergency are welcome –but how do we re-adjust our systems? This event will explore some of the complexity and the opportunities for transforming our economies towards equality and human wellbeing and care and respect for the living systems that support all life. This event is the first in a series that will discuss systems change in South Wales to provide a forum for new thinking and is supported by the Schumacher Institute. Bring your ideas!

Vala Ragnarsdottir Professor of Sustainability from Iceland
Will talk about the links between responding to the climate emergency, the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Wellbeing Economy Alliance – should Wales join this international alliance?
Julian Caldecott who has worked in biodiversity and development will talk about the Costa Rica Peace for Nature initiative as a potential approach for Wales.
