Apr 22, 2019 at 00:00 — Dec 31, 2019 at 23:59 (GMT)

EXCLUSIVE PREMIUM DAY TOUR TO CORK. Travel with us to Ireland's Alcatraz. Capture the sights of picturesque Castles, Celtic monastic sites and the glorious rolling countryside known as the Golden Vale of Ireland as we travel on board our luxury coach from Dublin to County Cork. We will entertain you with storytelling, folklore and music as we make our way towards the prettiest harbour town of the Emerald Isle called Cobh (Cove) and the historical Spike Island.

When we reach Cobh, we board the ferry for an award-winning guided tour of Spike Island - largely known for the 200-year-old 24 acre fortress called Fort Mitchel which dominates the Island. It was the largest convict depot in the world in Victorian times and the Island was also home at one time to Monks, Vikings, Captains, Convicts, Saints, and sinners all which you will learn about!

We explore the quaint colourful town of Cobh (Cove). There are magnificent views of the neo-Gothic Cathedral St. Colman's perched above the town, standing up to 300ft high and looking out across the 2nd largest natural harbours of the world! Look out to the Atlanic Ocean and to where the most famous ship ever built: the Titanic, was anchored at bay. You can visit the White Star Line Ticket office where the last 123 passengers went to board Titanic at her last port of call on Thursday April 11th 1912.

Those that have Irish roots can trace the steps of their ancestors. Located at the end of Cobh's Victorian promenade is Cobh's Heritage Centre. Here thousands of Ireland's immigrants left these shores in search of a better life. Read the many accounts of what some made of life from having to travel abroad during the Great Famine of Ireland 1845-1851.
