If it’s Easter it must mean chocolate - and a fabulous day out for all the family is guaranteed at a special event being held in the heart of historic Tavistock this Easter.

The town’s first ever Chocolate and Coffee Festival will be staged in the beautifully restored Butcher’s Hall, right next to the Victorian pannier market, on Good Friday, April 19.

Chocoholics be warned - attending the festival are producers offering every sort of chocolate you could wish for - from truffles, ice cream and cake to milkshakes and even wine!

For the caffeine fiends, a huge range of coffee specialists will be there to tempt the most discerning of tastebuds.

If you fancy getting creative, you can join in a chocolate workshop* with specialist Nicola Brook and anyone feeling that Lady Luck is smiling on them can try winning a prize in the chocolate tombola.

A whole arrange of activities are on offer for the youngsters, with an Easter Egg hunt*, Easter Egg decorating*, Easter Egg painting* and some cheeky appearances from Willy Wonka!

A hot chocolate and coffee bar will run throughout the day and the relaxed atmosphere will be accompanied by live contemporary music.

Workshop 1) Join chocolatier Nicola Brook making Easter truffles. You will be able to dip, decorate and box your own Easter chocolates to take home with you. Workshop is £8.50 and includes the chocolates.
