St Michael's Mount Swim

Jul 18, 2015 at 18:00 — 21:00 (BST)
Organiser: The Chestnut Appeal for Men's Health

Saturday 18th July is the date of the Chestnut Appeal’s second venture into Cornish waters with a one and a half mile swim around the spectacular St Michaels Mount. It’s a great swim with a spectacular backdrop and in 2014 the event attracted swimmers both locally and farther afield. This year the swim will be on a High Tide and take place at six in the evening.

The swim will be quite a challenge and it is asked that all those who take part must have experience of open water swimming and can complete around 100 lengths of a 25m pool.

Safety is a top priority and as with all the Chestnut Appeal swims the swim will be supported by the team from Event Water Safety who will provide all the necessary craft and expert cover on the water.

The Chestnut Appeal for Prostate Cancer is a charity that supports men with prostate cancer and their families across Devon and Cornwall.

Registration for the swim is £30 which covers the cost of organising the event. And it is asked that all those who take part raise a minimum of £50 for the Chestnut Appeal. Your fundraising will help the Chestnut Appeal continue their work across the region.

Entry to the St Michaels Swim includes; a medal on completion of the swim, full water safety support from Event Water Safety, an event swim cap, water and an end of swim snack.
