Careers at Helm Tickets

Looking for a new career? Helm Tickets is a rapidly growing business that’s always on the lookout for driven and creative people. If you’re eager to progress your career growing within an award-winning company, we want to hear from you!

Why join our team?

We’re a small, but rapidly growing team. Over the last year, we’ve seen incredible growth and this is set to continue. We work hard but we have fun with it!

A focus on wellbeing

Your wellbeing is really important to us and we care about our team as individuals. As part of this, we offer monthly catch ups about your wellbeing, a breakout space to help with brainstorming or relaxing, and we have beer, coffee, tea, and soft drinks on tap.

We work 8-4 and you’re encouraged to go home on time, take your lunch break, and take regular holidays. We understand that sometimes life happens and you need some flexibility, and we offer enhanced sick pay which increases with length of service.

Family-friendly culture

We offer generous paid parental leave, regardless of your gender. You can take up to 52 weeks leave and if you’ve been with us for more than a year you’ll receive full pay for 3 months of this, and half pay for 3 months. This increases incrementally to 6 months full pay and 3 months half pay once you’ve been with us for more than 5 years.

Our policy is the same regardless of your gender, your partner’s gender, or how you became a parent (e.g. through adoption, surrogacy, or biologically), so it applies to fathers and partners of mothers too!

Flexible career progression

As a growing business, there’s lots of opportunity for you to shape your own career and move around the business.

We hold personal development reviews twice a year to discuss where you see your career going and any training you might need for this.

Our other benefits & perks
  • Death in service payment
  • 3% employer contribution to your pension
  • Time off in lieu (TOIL) if you’re required to work extra hours
  • Socials – we hold an annual Christmas and summer party, and we socialise with breakfasts, movie afternoons, and much more!
  • Team volunteer days and 3 days a year ‘volunteer leave’ to help you give back to your community
  • Dog-friendly! Some of us bring our dogs to work (subject to some conditions)
  • Our own beer – we have our own brew, Smeaton’s Ruin, that you’re welcome to help yourself to

“The support for employee welfare at Helm is second-to-none.

If I have a problem, I know I’ll be supported.”

What we’re looking for

Drive & positivity

We’re all driven & willing to go the extra mile. We work together as a team towards our common goals. You’ll be able to deal with the lows as well as the highs & bounce back easily from any setbacks.

We believe the best new ideas can come from anywhere & creativity is central to changing our industry. We’re looking for individuals who can come up with bold, innovative, new ideas & see them through.

Empathy & compassion

We’re a support-first platform, so you’ll need to care about our organisers, & work to make sure our platform meets their needs. Whatever role we’re in, we listen to & encourage our colleagues’ ideas.

A passion for technology

We’re always looking to innovate & improve, so you’ll love working here if you enjoy technology & like to try out new ideas or software. Transferable skills & the enthusiasm to get stuck in are a must.

“I first joined Helm as a support specialist. I was given the opportunity to prove my design skills, and I’m now in my dream job as a full-time graphic designer.”
