Crafty Crows ~ Online Poetry, Featuring 'Bill Lewis & Ivor Daniel', plus Open-Mic

The Gloucestershire Poetry Society presents our regular online event in 2022, 'Crafty Crows'. 

Wednesday 7th September 2022, from 7.00pm until 9.00pm, Join Stuckist Movement co-founder and Medway Poet Bill Lewis (20mins headline set) with GPS’s own Ivor Daniel in support (10mins) hosted by Forest of Dean poet and 2022/23 Beat Poet Laureate (England), Karlostheunhappy., plus open-mic.

Bill Lewis was one of the legendary Medway Poets Group along with Billy Childish, Sexton Ming, Charles Thomson and Rob Earl.

He has performed in Europe, Latin America and North America, including the International Cambridge Poetry Festival), hospitals, prisons, schools and universities and he was the first Writer-in-Residence at the Brighton Festival (1985).

An artist, Lewis was one of the original 13 founder members of the Stuckist Movement. He has since gone on to disseminate the ideas and theories that have emerged from Remodernism.

He has exhibited his paintings in various galleries in Paris, London, Berlin, New Jersey, Los Angeles, Kentucky and was featured in the 'Punk Victorian' exhibition at the Walker Gallery, Liverpool.

Bill Lewis won the Award for Literature at the 2012 Medway Culture and Design Awards.
