A cornerstone of Family Systems Constellation work is often the resolution of transgenerational trauma. Examples include: immigration trauma, the residual impact of war, or the personal trauma of interrupted movements toward the mother.  This workshop will: 1) support constellation facilitators in developing a better understanding of the different types of trauma; 2) examine how the various forms of trauma manifest in the Field of constellation work; and 3) explore the differences between our physiological and psychological response to trauma from the moral injury or soul response to trauma.  This workshop will explore the relevant issues through small group and conceptual constellations.  We will not be exploring personal constellations for those who have experienced trauma.

As a result of this workshop, participants will

1. Learn the differences between acute, chronic, and complex trauma.
2. Understand the differences between Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Moral or Soul Injury.
3. Examine how the different forms of trauma manifest in the Field of Constellations with particular attention to the emerging Field in the United States.

Presenter:  Dr. Jean Chagnon is an integrative healer blending training in psychology, contemporary shamanic practice, Family Systems Constellations, and Andean Energy Medicine.  She began her healing work 30+ years ago as a psychologist specializing in working with survivors of childhood abuse.  Over the years she integrated body based energy work and shamanic healing into her psychotherapy practice.  Her book, The Art of Inner Listening:  Medicine for the Soul in the Wake of Abuse, outlines the multidimensional relational approach to working with survivors of trauma that she developed through this integrative process.  She currently offers individual healing, teaches, and does consultation.  Her workshop Medicine for the Soul teaches advanced shamanic practitioners about the impact of trauma on shamanic practice.  Her seminar The Art of Inner Listening guides individuals in learning techniques and strategies to better manage the energetic and spiritual aspects of life.  She uses Constellation work in her practice and has done systemic constellations for issues involving Clergy Sex Abuse and Decolonizing our American Culture.
