Who is this workshop suitable for?
This is a multi-level workshop which is suitable for players of Grade 3 standard and above.    

Workshop Content​

As string players become more advanced, they learn a variety of bouncing bow strokes, including spiccato and ricochet.  This half-day workshop explores the natural bouncing properties of the bow, whilst developing the technical control that improves playing.  Students will have fun learning from each other, playing a variety of pieces with different bow strokes. 
 
This workshop is open to any age of participant and is aimed at players of Grade 3 - 8+.   Spending time away from regular repertoire to focus on the finer aspects of technique is vitally important, and even more so, the more advanced we become.  Focus exercises and differentiated parts will be given to the more experienced players, who may also like to consider attending as part of our Leadership and Mentoring Scheme.
