The Cabarats with support from The Busketeers, Roisin Ferrier, and Jay Urquhart
May 17, 2019 at 19:00 — 19:00 (BST)
Warm yourselves up for summertime and festival season with The Cabarats and The Busketeers at the newly refurbished Terrace Cafe and Bar!
The Cabarats bring a new musical experience to the global underground, combining traditional Balkan and Middle Eastern sounds with lively reggae and ska.
Using a collection of intriguing instruments the band has dazzled a wide range of audiences from festival crowds to private functions and community events.
After the successful release of their debut album 'Out of the Bag', the last year has been an exciting journey for the rats. The band appeared on one of the main stages at Boomtown Fair and gained the attention of BBC Introducing, performing on their stage at Looe Saves the Day.
The Busketeers label themselves as a “Progressive Busking” act which is also the title of their debut EP. The musicians are from different backgrounds and have unique styles but what really makes these guys stand out is their ability to swap instruments, all sing in their own style and of course their harmonies and still keep that raw-energetic sound.
"Blown away by their performance on stage at BBC Takeover at UPSU. I love how they captured their fun live energy in their recordings. They always post really good videos. You would've seen them around Plymouth, and the southwest - They are brilliant." - BBC Introducing Devon (James Santer).
