The Everest region of the Himalayas is a Bucket List experience of a different level altogether. Walking here is literally walking through the history of human achievement and you can be a part of it!
IS THIS FOR ME?
No prior experience is necessary to join. We’ve had team members put trekking boots on for their very first time the morning we caught the plane to Lukla. This doesn’t mean it’s easy. Trekking to Ama Dablam base camp is a challenge but it is a very doable. This itinerary is ideal for those of us who would like to see Everest and get up into the high altitude environment but don’t have the time to dedicate to a two week expedition to Everest base camp. Reaching Ama Dablam base camp takes us right to the foot of the most imposing mountain in the region with views on Everest, Lhotse and Nuptse to name but a few of the highest mountains on the planet. It is also not as physically demanding as the longer trek to Everest Base Camp.
We always run an airport to airport service. This means that we’ve got you covered full board from the moment we pick you up until the moment we drop you off. All meals, guides, porters, private road transfers, round trip Lukla flights, hotels, huts, photography, videography, permits and of course our customary welcome and farewell receptions are included. We even give you our tailored fitness and nutrition program to help you feel confident and prepared for this adventure. All you need to do is get yourself to Kathmandu Airport.
WHERE ARE WE HEADING?
Ama Dablam is considered the most difficult classic route mountain to climb in the Khumbu region. We’ll be heading to the base camp of the mountain, which takes us from Lukla to Namche Bazaar, up to Tengboche and finally to the base camp.
The first and last night will be spent in Kathmandu at the Thamel Eco Resort situated in the heart of the city. During the time spent trekking, we’ll be staying in Tea Houses, which are small accommodations with basic amenities.
