Organiser: Life Happens Outdoors
It’s time to finally tick this one off the Bucket List and trek to the roof of Africa!
IS THIS FOR ME?
No prior mountaineering experience is needed to be a part of our team. This is a challenging trek but it is certainly a doable challenge that has attracted first time trekkers and experience hikers alike. If you’re looking to challenge yourself in an extremely rewarding environment and be a part of a life changing experience, then this is absolutely for you.
We always run an airport to airport service. This means that we’ve got you covered full board from the moment we pick you up until the moment we drop you off. All meals, guides, private road transfers, hotels, tents, mats, porters, cooks, photography, videography, permits and of course our customary welcome and farewell receptions are included. We even give you our tailored fitness and nutrition program to help you feel confident and prepared for this adventure. All you need to do is get yourself to Kilimanjaro Airport.
WHERE ARE WE HEADING?
We’ll be staying in Moshi the night before and after climbing. Our route is the Marangu Route famous for it’s incredible views of Mawenzi peak, the traverse of the saddle and the fact that it’s the only route where we stay in mountain huts as opposed to tents! The ultimate goal is the reach the Uhuru peak of Kilimanjaro at 5,895 meters above sea level.
In Moshi we’ll be staying in comfortable accommodation. On the trail we’ll be staying in mountain huts. The huts are basic accommodation that have a mess hall in addition to rooms with mattresses. All huts have toilets outside that are generally well kept.
