St Albans City Brass Band and Parmiter's School present a World War One Centenary Concert. The band will play popular tunes from the time of the First World War and light classical music by composers writing at the turn of the century - including works by Elgar, Vaughan Williams and George Butterworth (a talented young composer who died on the Somme). All profits from entry and proceeds from refreshment sales and collections to go to Help for Heroes (reg charity 1120920).
