Summer Sessions: Getting Autism Friendly

Aug 21, 2018 at 18:00 — 20:15 (BST)
Organiser: SPECTRUM Savvy

Do you want to build on your basic understanding of autism? Then this session could be for you. It will give you a basic insight into how to adapt your behaviour, communication and environments to reduce the challenges faced by autistic people and to help bring out the best in them.

The session will be informal and accessible whilst helping your community to have a greater understanding and respect for autism as an example of neurodiversity (different brains). A greater understanding will then lead to better opportunities for the autistic people in your community.

This session will be delivered by Nicola Beldham of Spectrum Savvy. More information about her work can be found at www.spectrumsavvy.co.uk and https://www.facebook.com/SpectrumSavvy/?ref=bookmarks
