DESCRIPTION

The Art of Conscious Touch: An evening workshop where you'll explore what it means to give and receive conscious touch. By attending this workshop you will be able to improve your personal relationships so you can allow yourself to give and receive more pleasure. You will also improve your connection to your body, and explore how you can allow yourself to feel more sensational touch.

During this workshop, we will explore what it means to give and receive conscious touch.

You will learn the following:

• Five methods of touch, and how to incorporate them into your personal relationships
• The importance of energy body, and how to transmit and receive energy
• How awareness of your posture, breathing and intention impacts the quality of touch that you give and receive
• You will be able to express your boundaries and be given opportunities to ask and receive exactly how you want to be touched
• You will learn and experience the "Wheel of Consent" by Betty Martin
• You will understand what happens to you when you enter a state of "tolerating" and what you can do instead
• Gain an understanding of "Taking", "Serving", "Allowing" and "Accepting".

In this workshop, all participants will be fully clothed. You will be invited to work with others in short partnered exercises. You will be able to express and explore your boundaries and be able to listen to your inner wisdom and ask to be touched in a way that matches your desire.

Singles, Couples, and people identifying themselves of any gender or sexual orientation are welcome.
 

THE PRACTICALITIES

The 1st part will explore "The Wheel of Consent". There will be a 10-minute break and in the 2nd part we will explore "Different ways of touch, and how they impact the body"

Intensity level: Light

For: Anyone who wants to learn how to give and receive more pleasurable touch. Anyone who wants to improve their connection and appreciation to their body. Anyone who wants to improve their understanding of consent and boundaries.

What to bring: A water bottle.

Clothing: Wear clothing that you feel comfortable in, shoes cannot be worn inside the Skylight Centre.

Venue: The Skylight Centre, 49 Corsica Street, London, N5 1JT
(Please note that the Skylight centre is in a residential area, therefore please don't congregate outside beforehand).

Your hosts are  Sanjay Joshi and Natalie Ford.
